-Equipment; Red cabbage, tea, beetroot, turmeric, cranberry juice, a beaker, water, tripod, Bunsen burner, gauze mat, 1.0 mol L-1 HCL and mol L-1 NaOH.

Method - Pour 1 teaspoon of turmeric 100 mL cup of alcohol and cranberry juice into separate beakers and leave to one side.

Results -

Indicators                  Colour in HCI (acid)           Colour in NaOH (alkali)
- Turmeric                  - Yellow                                - Red
- Cranberry juice       - Red                                    - Green
- Beetroot                 -  Red                                    - Yellow
- Tea                        - Clear                                    - Mustard
- Cabbage                - Pink                                     - Green

In this Table You can tell with the Indicators we added Acid and Alkali in separate dishes.
Such as when we had the Cranberry juice and then when the acid was added to it the cranberry juice stayed red but when the alkali was added it turned green as you can tell from the table above.

Conclusion ; we go the the results correctly we wanted because we made our indicators correctly which allowed us to get the right results.

SEXXY Paragraphs

In English we are learning about SEXXY Paragraphs and we had to explain this photo using the SEXXY Paragraphs, here's mine.

S - statement
The director uses a two person close up so you can see both of there expressions.
E - example
For example you can see Sergeant Borman strangling Geel Piet close up.
X - explain director purpose
The director showed this in a close shot so you can see the expressions on their faces and feel their emotions.
X - explain effect on audience
This made the audience feel sorry for Geel Piet as Sergeant Borman was about to strangle him to death and it also makes the audience stops and actually look and wonder what’s going to happen to both of them.

This aspect can also be compared to when Maria died as they both lose their life by one of the sergeants.

Drill Gauge

What is a drill gauge?
-
A drill gauge is a device used to identify the size of a drill bit. It can be made from steel, aluminium, plastic or wood, and contains a series of holes that represent various drill bit sizes. Each hole is marked with a measurement based on its size. These measurements may be etched into the drill gauge or printed on top.
-
General’s Drill Gauges are used to quickly and conveniently identify drill bit sizes.
-
Made of heat treated heavy gauge steel, machined and ground to close tolerances.

Here's a photo or a drill Gauge;

Drill Gauge #12This is the one I made on tinkercad, we had to make it our own and change the shape to whatever we want and I decided to use a circle, we also had to only had to add the measurements that is used on the drill gauge I made on Tinkercad.

Power of one SEXXY Paragraphs

This is what SEXXY stands for in English;

S - statement

E - example

X - explain director purpose

X - explain effect on audience

Y - your link

The director used a long shot so you can tell everything that is happening such as the sergeant about to catch some kids giving tobacco and able to see the whole scene.

In this shot the director uses a longshot to show you what's happening he got caught giving gewil pea tobacco. For example you can see Sergeant Borman back of his legs as he's about to catch some kids giving gweil

pea tobacco and he had another bucket with dirty water he swapt it over.
The scene that is alike to this one is when This scene where kids are about to get told of for giving tobacco and is the same like when Maria gets told off by her father from hanging out with P.K.

Stacey & Meadows Sexxy para
in this scene the director uses a long shot which shows the guard gazing at a black and a not so
wealthy man before he confronts him about the Tabasco. in this shot we can see the guard
(sergeant Borman) standing and staring at the prisinors holding a baton, as doc and P.K start to enter the building.the director uses a long shot to show that the guard is going to punish the prisinors, this shot looked most effected as it makes him look like he has the most power. as the scene is a long shot it makes the audience believe that Sargent Borman  going to punish the prisinors because he is holding is baton and is staring right at them. this aspect can be compared to the hanging scene around the start of the movie when Sargent Borman hangs him up by his feet and tries to kill him but the man walks in before he has the chance.

Social Studies

Excited for my new adventure as I look into my mirror, my strands of my brown long hair sits on my face as I gently push it behind my heart, my hazel eyes twinkle in the dull lighting, my pale skin shows goosebumps as a cold smelly draft wafts around my cramped apartment.

Today is the day I decide to leave my family behind as they have decided to stay and live a wealthy life in England while people suffer with no job or house, I want New Zealand to be a new hope for everyone since it is mine, I want a good life in a better and cleaner environment with enough jobs and houses for everyone.

The ship sets sail to New Zealand today, I grab my backpack filled with all my treasures and living items - the rest of my furniture and unused clothes were sold so I could have some money when I arrive to New Zealand.

Scared yet intrigued to leave my so called ‘home’ and start my new life with a new beginning, my dad booked me a horse and carriage as a goodbye gift and some extra money yet he couldn't make the time to say bye..

Locking my front door I look outside and the horse is there waiting  for me as I board the carriage on my way to the ship.
I arrive to the ship, there are so many people, the smell was horrible, I grab my stuff and throw my backpack on my shoulder as I make my way to go wait in line. Tiredly waiting in line I finally get to the front and keep following everyone to find out where i'll be staying for the next while.

My room, well my shared room with seven other people, our beds were a slab of wood with no bedding and no space to move around…

Deciding to go look around, I step outside my small shared shivering room, you could see the never-ending blue sea as the ship started to move - I looked out, I could see the families waving and most crying because they know theres a chance they wont see their families or friends ever again..

Four months passed and each day feels the same - we wake up, go have a wash, wait in line for breakfast, have breakfast then a few hours later we have lunch and after that we do the same for dinner, in my spare time I like to go look outside and daydream about how New Zealand will look like or play card games and I like to write a lot because that's the main thing that keeps me sane since I try keep myself away from everyone due to all of the diseases that spreads but it's not easy to try isolate myself..

Slowly the months passed and finally we start to arrive, the sound of everyone shouting we finally arrive to this beautiful country named New Zealand, there was so many trees, nature was everywhere.

I was confused, I have no idea where i'm supposed to go, I was so happy to finally get off that ship but now I feel lost yet it already feels like i'm supposed to be here, i just have to find out where I belong and what's my purpose on my life here in New Zealand.
